Description

"I've been all alone in this forest of mine, for countless years... Abandoned here, without a soul to keep me company... Shall you spend this enchanted night with me? Shall you be my consort..?"
Geralt pondered the straightforward offer - after all, a mortal scarcily receives such invitations from goddesses. Catching a faint drift of lilac and gooseberry, he smiled slightly... The Queen of Dreams knew his deepest desires all too well.

Little did he realize what a mischievous divine being may have truly had in mind...

This one is one of the endings of The Witcher module - "Midsummer Night's Dream" (coproduced with ~SinePI). There's another one here: [link] - and there's three more that will be uploaded in due time. I made this picture as an illustration for the module, but as the The Witcher Fan Art Contest was announced, I thought it fits perfectly as a tribute for the game itself and the books it was based on.

The woman depicted, though she is a character original to our module, has a deeper symbolical meaning in terms of Sapkowski's books. She embodies all the dangers in Geralt's deeper relationships with women - Yennefer in the original saga and Triss in the game. In our storyline she is Mabb, the Queen of Dreams, one of the few women that can turn the fierce White Wolf into an obedient puppy. Well... in her case it's literally. Just to poke fun at the Witcher's tendency towards totally carefree sex, in a "tongue in cheek" manner.

Please download for full view, I uploaded the real size image that will be used in game. Advanced comments also welcome, I'm trying to make this module's art look comparable to the game's original art.

Technique: 100% digital painting.

Update: 15.12.2008
Mabb face and shadows fixed.
